"The house was beautiful and we had a lovely stay over the weekend with much comforts. It was a perfect holiday house, very nice design and spacious for 4 families. It's definitely our best weekend getaway so far." Truong Vu - August 2015
Mt Buller self contained lodge, perfect for families & large groups.
MannaGum is a large, luxury self-contained chalet set amongst the gums at the base of Mt Buller.
Located 25 minutes’ drive from Mansfield and only 2 km from the Mt Buller-Mt Stirling Resort gates, the Lodge is a perfect base for both winter and summer adventures. In winter the ski bus stops at the end of the road, while in summer the Alpine Epic Trail starts a short ride away. Take the bike shuttle to the top of the mountain and ride home at the end of the day.
The Lodge easily sleeps 12 people with provision for up to 4 additional guests by prior arrangement. It's an ideal getaway for several families or a group of friends holidaying together.
Children are especially welcome at MannaGum. Outside there are friendly chickens – the kids can check for eggs each morning - while inside they have their own lounge, DVDs, games and tepee. For the older kids there are fun attic spaces to explore, while for babies there is all the usual baby gear including a highchair, potty, stair gate and portacot. Meanwhile adults can relax with an iPod deck/CD player, SmartTV, DVDs, games and books.
During winter the combustion fire is the heart of the open plan lounge, dining and kitchen area. Spread over 3 levels, the 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms are large, modern and airy. Heating panels are located in all bedrooms and bathrooms, while a reverse cycle AC and fans provide year round comfort.
The kitchen is fully equipped with all the appliances, cutlery and crockery you could wish for - a gas cook top, electric oven, microwave, and dish-washer. A full laundry, drying room for ski gear and plenty of storage for bicycles and outdoor gear during summer makes this your ideal adventure retreat.
The architect designed pole-house offers a wonderful feeling of space and light, with huge picture windows looking into the forest, cathedral ceilings, and ample opportunity for several families to each enjoy their own space. There is ample free onsite and on road parking. The Lodge is self-catering and fully self-contained, and linen and towels are provided.
