With easy access to the Mt Buller and Mt Stirling ski fields, MannaGum provides a convenient base during winter. The ski bus stops at the end of the road, or you can park at the Mirimbah gates and take the bus from there if you don’t want to drive to the top carparks. Getting to the Snow Once through the entry gate at Mirimbah you can take a bus, or drive your car to the car park, about 1.5km from the resort. A free shuttle bus for day visitors leaves the car park regularly to take you to the village. Ski hire and lift tickets can be purchased from the village. Here are some tips for first time snow bunnies.
Skiing Mt Stirling is the best place to go cross-country skiing around Mansfield. Go through the entry gate to Mt Buller/Stirling, then take the road to the left across the river and head up to Mt Stirling. Chains will be needed if its snowing and can be hired from the Mirimbah store. Park at Telephone Box Junction by The Epicentre Cafe and hire your gear or book lessons there. Snowboarding Mt Buller is the place to go snow boarding if you want to access lifts or if you are learning to snow board. Mt Stirling has no lifts and is only suitable for more advanced snow boarders.Lessons are available and can be booked in the village when you hire your gear. There are 3 parks on Buller:
Terrain Park located at the Summit
Rail Park located on Baldy
Half Pipe located by the Bull Run Chair
Costs 2016 season prices- it will cost $50/passenger car to enter the resort, so fill up the car seats! This allows you to use the shuttle bus between the top carpark and the village. Ski lift tickets and gear hire are all available at Mt Buller.
